Pinal Land-Use Watch is an email digest of upcoming land-use hearings in unincorporated Pinal County, Arizona. It is compiled every morning from the notices the county posts on its public Notice of Hearings page, so you see a rezoning, comprehensive plan amendment, special use permit or variance weeks before the Planning and Zoning Commission, Board of Supervisors, Board of Adjustment and Appeals or Citizens Advisory Committee hears it.
It also tracks land-use items on the meeting agendas of six cities and towns: City of Maricopa, Casa Grande, Apache Junction and Eloy in Pinal County, and Surprise and Avondale in the West Valley. That covers rezonings, annexations, PAD amendments, conditional use permits, plats, site plans and development agreements, and, where the agenda reports them, the council’s decisions. City agendas are posted days before each meeting rather than weeks, so this part is a tracker more than an early warning. Other towns, such as Florence, Coolidge and Queen Creek, are not included yet.
A recent entry, summarized:
Desert Crest Energy Storage: PZ-022-25, PZ-PA-019-25, PZ-PD-017-25 Board of Supervisors on Wednesday, October 14, 2026 at 9:30 a.m. (District 3). Type: energy, industrial. 40 acres at the southwest corner of Guardia Drive and N Bianco Road, near Casa Grande. Zoning General Rural (GR) to Industrial (I-3), with a comprehensive plan change and a PAD overlay.
A weekly digest every Monday, with an optional daily email on mornings when
the county has posted new notices. When you join, a welcome email lists
every upcoming hearing already noticed, so you start with the full picture.
Mail comes from [email protected].
The digest uses only the county’s published legal notices. It never republishes the neighbor mailing lists attached to those notices.
The digest is in a free trial with a small group of readers who work in land, development and engineering in the county. To ask to join, write to [email protected]. Addresses are added only on request, used only to send the digest, and never sold or shared.
The trial is free. After it, a subscription is priced per firm, so everyone at the firm can receive the digest: $39 a month or $390 a year. The first ten firms to subscribe can lock in $290 a year for two years.
Every email says how to unsubscribe. Reply with “unsubscribe”, use its one-click unsubscribe link, or write to [email protected] and you are removed within two business days.
